Broadcasting conglomerate conducts large LiveU deployment to cover Baton Rouge floods and other breaking news
LiveU proved to be mission critical for broadcasters covering the U.S. Presidential Election. Check out LiveU's record breaking success covering the monumental election.
When the second presidential debate was scheduled for Washington University in St. Louis, the team at KMOV-TV knew they’d need all hands on deck to cover it. The CBS affiliate was no stranger to covering the debates in its hometown because they had done it four times in the past. But this year promised to be busier than ever.
LiveU’s Director of Professional Services, Ari Epstein gives a first-person account of the behind-the-scenes action leading up to the First Presidential Debate
LiveU is the live video solution of choice for thousands of broadcasters and for this reason, we're providing “on the ground” support at high-profile events, including the 2016 Presidential Debates.
We recently caught up with LiveU’s COO and Co-founder, Avi Cohen to talk about the company’s milestone anniversary. Cohen reminisces about the company’s humble beginnings, reflects on the journey to become the standard in live video and shares what’s next for the technology leader.
RTÉ is another broadcaster to rise to the coverage challenge posed by national election night – last-minute, countrywide activity from often remote locations – by turning to LiveU. The broadcaster deployed 13 units across the Republic to bring the unfolding events of the late February night to viewers. The project was overseen by LiveU partner Tyrell.
Traditionally, political events such as elections and protests were covered from stationary lives – using satellite dishes, often from only a few locations. As LiveU’s technology developed into the robust reliable equipment that we supply today, broadcasters have been able to depend on our cellular field units as the main feed for bigger and more elaborate coverage plans. Now broadcasters are using LiveU solutions to broadcast innovative live coverage.
