Super Bowl 50

Super Bowl 50, the 50th edition of the annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional football in the United States will take place on February 7th, 2016.

The game is the culmination of an entire season which started at the end of the previous year’s summer; the winners will be the league’s champions.  The game is scheduled to be played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the home stadium of the San Francisco 49ers.

The Super Bowl is one of the most watched television broadcasts in America and world-wide.

2016 Winter Youth Olympics

The 2016 Winter Youth Olympics will take place in Norway between 12 February and 21 February 2016. Young athletes from around the world will compete in 15 sports and disciplines hoping to get a podium finish.

Pope Francis visit to Mexico

His holiness, Pope Francis is scheduled to begin a five-day trip to Mexico on February 12th.

The Vatican has recently detailed the Pope's  itinerary which includes a mass in Mexico City, at the Basilica of Guadalupe, a visit to the south, an open-air mass near the U.S. border expected to attract the faithful from both countries. In Mexico City, the Pope will be formally welcomed by President Enrique Pena Nieto and meet with the nation's bishops in the city's cathedral.

His last stop will be in Ciudad Juarez, on the northern border across from El Paso, Texas, where he will visit the Cereso prison, meeting and praying with some inmates, followed by a meeting with business leaders and workers.

The 88th Academy Awards Ceremony

The 88th Academy Awards Ceremony also known as the Oscar will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood Los Angeles on February 28th, 2016.  Attended by the most recognizable faces in the world who will walk the most famous red carpet in hope of winning the desired golden statue.

Euro 2016

The 15th edition of the highly anticipated Euro 2016 championship will be the largest since the inaugural tournament in 1960. 24 teams will compete in 51 games over a month at ten different stadiums across France;  Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, Saint-Denis, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse.

2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero

The 2016 Summer Olympic Games will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 5 - 21 2016. Our U.S LiveU support team will be on the ground and offering on-site 24/7 support at multiple locations around the country during the tournament.

Currently, LiveU serves nearly all major broadcasters in Brazil with hundreds of units being used daily. LiveU has also supported international customers in Brazil in previous events, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
