The Opportunity

The Regional Sales Director Sports, EMEA is a key hire, the focus of which is to create, manage and close new business opportunities in the Sports vertical. This role and will appeal to a senior sales professional that is experienced in the Sports market and who would relish the chance to expand a sector and region that has fantastic potential. As a company LiveU is growing so there is an exciting career potential within the company.

Job Summary

The Regional Sales Director, EMEA is responsible for driving the growth of sales in Sports for the region through excellence in business creation, key customer relationship development and partner management.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility to develop and implement a comprehensive sales and business growth strategy that maximises LiveU’s potential in the Sports market
• Achieve and strive to exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
• Profitability – ensure target margins are achieved
• Build and develop new customer opportunity plans; detail and implement strategies for successful execution within these clients
• Generate monthly territory forecasts and create and deliver strategic account plans that accurately predict revenue on a monthly basis
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline. Keep CRM system complete and up to date with insightful and specific, sales forecasting and reporting
• Position the company as a strategic supplier to customers and strive to attain “trusted advisor” status
• Define and deliver an effective regional partner strategy to maximise complementary collaborative sales in accordance with the company’s partner programme network
• With the support of technical resource put together bids and proposals
• Cultivate and develop effective business relationships with senior influencers and key decision makers across each account
• Conduct all negotiations and close deals
• Apply consultative selling methodology on a consistent basis, in order to create value propositions for strategic opportunities to attract and grow revenue
• Develop strong relationships with all supporting teams so that these internal teams actively contribute to sales success
• Follow up with the customers in after-sales process to ensure smooth project implementation
• Keep appraised of changing market conditions, competitive landscape and new technologies
• Become conversant with the LiveU business systems to ensure the systems are being used effectively to support the sales strategy
• Attend and contribute actively at relevant industry trade shows

Experience & Qualifications

• Track record of having delivered to targets
• A proven new business sales person, with clear evidence of a successful track record in delivering profitable growth
• Highly experienced at selling in the Sports market with relevant industry contacts
• Conversant with the industry trends, opportunities and developments in the Sports industry
• Experienced in short, medium and long term sales cycles
• Experienced in international business and working with different cultures


• Driven by performance objectives and able to close deals
• Great interpersonal skills
• Relationship oriented, both internally & externally
• Excellent written, verbal and presentational communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines
• Superb people skills and a cooperative team player
• Creative - finds opportunities & solutions easily
• Entrepreneurial - mindset around growing the EMEA Sports business
• Visionary - able to see the big picture

• Availability and willingness to travel in the region


Will be targeted on revenue objectives set by the VP Sales, EMEA.

Salary Package

Excellent basic salary
