The Challenge

Reporters covering the tournament needed to get close to the players so that the audience could experience the event first-hand. The previous year’s tournament was just covered by a phone, which caused problems in audio and video quality, especially when zooming in on players from a distance.

This time, UUUM wanted to use advanced equipment to deliver a higher quality experience, without using unnecessary funds and the time to bring an entire broadcasting suite and staff to the golf course.

The Solution

UUUM instead employed LiveU’s Remote At-Home Production solution along with two LU600 units were to capture the action and transmit it fully synced to their remote Tokyo studio. As a result UUUM was able to switch cameras and add graphics remotely, enabling them to deliver a high quality live stream to their audience.
