LiveU Steps into the Future at MPTS 2026 with the Introduction of the Q Era

From field acquisition to cloud production, LiveU’s unified EcoSystem featuring its LU900Q intelligent production unit is built for the digital-first broadcast age.

LiveU is inviting MPTS visitors to step into the company’s new Q Era on Stand D32, at The Grand Hall, Olympia, London (May 13-14). The company will showcase its unified, modular EcoSystem headlined by its breakthrough LU900Q intelligent production unit. Visitors can see first-hand how the LU900Q delivers IP contribution resilience, enabling broadcasters to modernise workflows at their own pace – making live production faster and more reliable than ever.

The LU900Q redefines what’s possible in live field transmission. Powered by LiveU IQ (LIQ™) –  AI-driven cellular operator switching with integrated eSIMs and optimised 5G modems with a MIMO antenna array –  it delivers reliable transmission from even the most challenging locations.

"Twenty years ago, LiveU disrupted the entire broadcast market with the invention of IP bonding. We changed the rules of the game and now we’re doing it again with the introduction of the Q Era," says Matthew Stringer, LiveU’s Sales Director – UK. " LIQ’s AI-driven technology and advanced 5G architecture deliver dynamic connection switching with enhanced speed, stability and throughput. The 2026 Winter Games proved its potential at scale – achieving over 36% higher average bitrates and consistent 4K and HDR coverage, confirming that previously unachievable bonded cellular transmissions are now a reality."

Designed as a modular production unit, the LU900Q seamlessly integrates with SDI, HDMI and IP production equipment – from ENG cameras and PTZ systems to drones and beyond, transforming how broadcasters approach remote live news and sports production. The unit supports high-end productions delivering HD/4K resolution over 10-bit HDR 4:2:2 encoding, with up to 32 audio channels and dual camera input/output.

Other MPTS 2026 highlights include:

Digital-First Strategies

Designed for fast-growing digital-first environments, LiveU Nexus simplifies modern broadcast ingest and distribution by converting, normalising and routing IP feeds across protocols such as LRT, SRT and RTMP. LiveU Nexus bridges social, online and remote sources with traditional broadcast operations, enabling broadcasters to easily serve linear, digital and social platforms from a unified IP workflow.

Complementing field acquisition and ingest, LiveU Studio will be showcased with expanded cloud-based IP live production capabilities, including the ability to deliver multiple feeds in various formats from the same production. With a browser-based, broadcast-grade video switcher, support for synchronised multi-camera production, ISO recording and instant replay, LiveU Studio enables remote and distributed teams to produce professional live content with maximum flexibility.

Workflow Automation

LiveU will emphasise how workflow automation is becoming essential as broadcasters face increasing production demands with leaner teams. For example, a live production that previously required separate planning, transmission, ingest and metadata workflows across several platforms can now be managed centrally – from scheduling to execution – significantly reducing operational overhead.

LiveU Schedule plays a key role in this transformation, replacing spreadsheets and fragmented tools with a centralised SaaS platform for intelligent scheduling, resource management, and automated execution. Built for fast-paced news and complex live events, LiveU Schedule helps broadcasters streamline planning and ensure consistent, repeatable workflows.

LiveU Ingest connects live acquisition directly to editorial as part of a story-centric workflow. An automatic recording and story metadata tagging solution powered by the LiveU cloud video platform, it integrates with MAM systems, NRCS platforms, and transcription services to ensure every feed is searchable, rundown-linked, and ready to clip – processing video faster while significantly cutting production costs.

Actus X – Unified QA Monitoring, Multiviewer & Compliance Logging Platform

Actus Digital, a LiveU company, is redefining QA monitoring and compliance logging for today’s broadcast workflows. Visitors to MPTS 2026 will see how broadcasters move beyond traditional regulatory compliance tools with Actus X – a unified platform delivering a browser-based sub-second multiviewer with new interactive controls, and automatic alert reporting, delivering real-time visibility while significantly reducing manual effort.

Visit LiveU at the Olympia Grand Hall, London on Stand No: D32 to see the company’s latest innovations, including the breakthrough LU900Q, and learn how its unified EcoSystem is helping broadcasters modernise workflows and deliver seamlessly across linear, digital and social platforms.
