Global Audiovisual Deploys LiveU for Spanish League 2 and 3 Football Coverage

LiveU Solo Transforms Spanish League 2 and 3 Broadcasting

Multiple LiveU units capture live football action every week across Spain with some of the games streamed with Solo, LiveU’s online live streaming device

Global Audiovisual, a Spanish production company that specializes in bringing sporting events to screens across the country, has recently turned to LiveU for one of its most ambitious projects yet: live coverage of both second and third division football. The deal has been overseen by LiveU’s Spanish partner, Park 7.

Supported by a network of freelancers and small production companies, approximately 80 matches a week are streamed to viewers across Spain using LiveU units. The games are streamed via Footters.com, which offers both free and paid-for content. Games are attracting thousands of views. The project, which has been hailed a success by all involved, is continuing to expand with the number of matches being covered set to increase.

Central to the project – which launched last autumn – is LiveU Solo, with units being used by both freelancers and production companies. LiveU Solo offers one-touch, wireless live streaming, directly from a camera and delivers professional-quality video streams without a large crew, lots of equipment, or a steep learning curve. LiveU Solo lets online broadcasters of all sizes live stream HD video content directly to any online video provider – from anywhere.

Isidro Paredes, Director of Global Audiovisual and Head of Production at Footters.com, said, “This project would not have been possible without LiveU technology and the support from Park 7. The functionality, ease of use, and image quality have allowed us to undertake this successful project, which is one that’s only likely to continue growing.”

Mario Stefanelli, Commercial Director of Park 7, said, “LiveU Solo’s quality, at an affordable price point, makes this kind of project technologically viable and economically feasible. Solo changes the production dynamic.”

Zion Eilam, Regional VP Sales (EMEA), LiveU, said, “2018 was a year of tremendous success for us across the sports sector and this is another example of the flexibility of our product offering. Solo was designed for exactly this type of use, making live streaming simple without any compromise on quality.”
