LiveU at IBC2026: Q Era Innovations Take Center Stage

From LU900Q™ and LiveU IQ (LIQ™) deployments to story-centric workflow automation, LiveU arrives at IBC2026 with its most complete and connected EcoSystem to date

LiveU redefined live newsgathering with the invention of cellular bonding. At IBC2026, Stand 7.C24, the company will show how that foundation is evolving into the Q Era –AI-driven connectivity intelligence at the heart of a modular, open IP-video EcoSystem. The EcoSystem automates live production workflows across news, sports, entertainment and other live events.

With over 1500 units supporting coverage of the current World Football Championship across 16 host cities in three countries, LiveU marks two decades of trust in live broadcasting –one transmission, one production at a time. IBC2026 is where the next chapter begins.

The award-winning LU900Q –LiveU’s Intelligent Production Unit –comes to IBC2026 with its credentials already established at major global live events, including the Winter Games in Italy. As the first unit built natively around LiveU IQ (LIQ™), it applies AI-driven connectivity intelligence and smart operator selection to optimize performance in real time, helping crews stay reliably connected in challenging conditions.

Built for multi-camera workflows, the LU900Q combines native LIQ connectivity, advanced eSIM technology, optimized 5G modems and a MIMO antenna array with support for SDI, HDMI, USB and IP camera input. It delivers HD/4K transmission with 10-bit HDR 4:2:2 encoding, up to 32 audio channels, dual video return, dual intercom with built-in Bluetooth audio and wireless file transfer for faster field-to-production turnaround.

“Twenty years ago, LiveU changed the industry with IP bonding. The LU900Q does it again –the first Intelligent Production Unit with AI-driven connectivity that chooses the best bonding option,” said Gideon Gilboa, LiveU’s Chief Business Officer.

Gilboa continued. “The industry is moving from application-centric thinking to workflow-centric thinking as our customers try to handle larger volumes of content at lower costs and higher speeds. Being story-centric and digital-first are no longer trade show slogans. These are the reality for our customers as they transform the way they produce news. With the LiveU EcoSystem, they can now create those workflows, and build their own agents to automate them.”

IBC2026 marks the European showcase of LiveU’s expanded collaboration with Sony Corporation, first announced in April. On display, and currently available, will be the LiveU TX1 –a compact, camera-mounted unit purpose-built for Sony’s professional camera range –delivering fast, reliable bonded file transfer directly from the camera. Also demonstrated will be the Sony RXS Connection License, enabling direct file transfer from compatible Sony cameras to the PWA-RXS solution via supported LiveU field units, starting with the compact LU300S.

LiveU’s modular and open EcoSystem spans contribution, production, ingest, orchestration, and distribution –and at IBC2026 it continues to expand. Cuez joins as the latest EcoSystem partner, extending workflow automation into cloud-based newsroom and rundown management.

As a member of the EBU’s working group, LiveU is actively involved in advancing the MXL shared-memory architecture – enabling multiple applications to access the same video frame simultaneously, eliminating redundant processing and reducing latency.

Together, these developments reflect the broader LiveU EcoSystem approach, supporting the full arc of live production, across live and file-based workflows.

LiveU Nexus –a universal gateway for digital and IP workflows –converts, normalizes, and routes feeds across LRT, SRT, and RTMP, bridging social, online, and remote sources with traditional broadcast operations. As well as offering seamless digital source integration for Zoom, Teams and YouTube, it can be used as a scan converter for any web content.

LiveU Studio isa cloud-native production service for video switching, audio mixing, graphics, and more. It enables multi-output cloud production, allowing teams to deliver multiple feeds in multiple formats from a single production. Together, Nexus and Studio give newsrooms and digital teams a faster, leaner path from live event to published content –across every platform simultaneously.

LiveU Ingest replaces fragmented, manual processes with a single story-centric workflow for live and file based –from planning and scheduling through ingest, and metadata enrichment. What previously required separate teams across multiple systems can now be managed centrally with significantly less manual effort. It enables operators to capture only the content that matters and move it instantly to production, editing, publishing and distribution from anywhere.

Actus Digital, a LiveU company, will showcase the latest capabilities of Actus X – a modular, browser-based platform that unifies compliance logging, low-latency multiviewing, QA monitoring, clip creation, and AI-powered media intelligence. By combining compliance logging and sub-second multiviewing in a single platform, Actus X enables broadcasters to monitor, verify, and instantly review content from one interface, reducing complexity and accelerating response times. Built for modern broadcast workflows, Actus X helps media teams gain real-time visibility across every channel while streamlining operations from monitoring to content delivery.
